GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
- The applicant has to fill the Visa Application form at www.indianvisaonline.gov.in. The hardcopy of visa application form along with requisite documents should be submitted for processing the visa application.
- Discrepancy in the details filled in the Visa application form will lead to non-acceptance of the application.
- Only recent passport size colour photograph showing full frontal view of the face without dark/ coloured glasses will be accepted.
- Cases requiring prior reference will be granted Visa only after receipt of approval from concerned authorities.
- The Embassy has the discretion to determine duration of the Visa and the number of entries in each case. Visa can be refused without assigning any reason.
- The date of delivery of visa (for cases covered under Prior reference Category) will be indicated at the time of acceptance of form. However, the visa processing time and date of delivery may change on a case-to-case basis. Applicants are requested to apply for visas well in advance in line with their travel plans.
- Fee given in the website is as prescribed by the Government of India and is subject to change without prior notice. The applicable fee will be informed to the applicant at the counter at the time of acceptance of the Visa application form. A surcharge of BHD 1.100 is to be paid towards the Indian Community Welfare Fund for each VISA service per person.
- VISA FEES IS NON- REFUNDABLE.
- Students desirous of studying in India are required to submit proof of having deposited tuition fee for one year to the concerned University/ College at the time of applying for student visa. At the time of applying for visa, the student has also to submit proof of carrying at least US $ 2000 with him/her, if the duration of visa is for one year or more and US $ 1000/- if the duration is less than one year. Students are strongly advised not to fall into the trap of getting visas or documents from unauthorized individuals or agents. Students are advised to communicate with the International Students Centre or International Students Advisor of the concerned universities and institutes in order to get all the information required before they leave for India.

VISAS FOR DIPLOMATIC/ OFFICIAL PASSPORT HOLDERS

N.B. THE APPLICANT MAY BE REQUIRED TO FURNISH ADDITIONAL DOCUMENT/ INFORMATION AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION AT THE COUNTER OR AT ANY LATER STAGE WHILE PROCESING THE VISA APPLICATION.
Electronic Visa (e-Visa)
In addition to the physical visas, Bahraini nationals are eligible for e-Visa to India through the centralised website “https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html”
Steps for applying an e-Visa
- Visit the Indian Visa Online website https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html and select ‘Bahrain’ from the nationality dropdown box.
- Select Visa Service/ duration viz. e-Tourist Visa; e-Business Visa ; e-Medical Visa; e-Medical Attendant Visa; e-Conference Visa; e-Ayush Visa; e-Ayush Attendant Visa ; e-Student Visa; e-Student Dependant visa.
- Fill the online application form with personal details, itinerary details, Passport details (first page and last page should be uploaded), passport size photo, upload requisite documents as per requirement of the Visa.
- Make the visa fee payment.
- Submit the application for processing
- If approved, the applicant will receive the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) in the email address provided during submission of application (usual processing time is 3-5 working days)
- Travel to India with a printed copy of the ETA
- Get the e-Visa stamped on your passport at the Entry port.

Valid and functional email address should be given while submitting the application, failing which it may result in non-receipt of ETA.
ETA will bear the personal particulars as provided by the applicant while submitting the application. Any discrepancy in personal particulars viz. name, passport number may lead to denial of entry to India.
